We have been USDA licensed breeders for 4 years. Our ranch is located in the heart of the Black Hills on South Dakota's Highway 14A in Boulder Canyon about 1.5 miles east of Deadwood or 9 miles west of I-90 exit 30 at Sturgis.
The Bell family took an interest in breeding after their wallaby, Angel, joined the family in spring of 2002. In 2003, they received a license from the United States Department of Agriculture to breed their animals.
Under the Bell's watchful eyes, they monitor the gestation period of their females very closely. When it is discovered that a joey is present they then decide if they will keep it as a member of their family at The Roo Ranch or allow it to be purchased by a qualified family following an extensive application process.
